I had to share this story because I thought it was too funny.
Designer called a friend today. He said, "Hmm, that's weird."
I asked, "What's that?"
He says, "It's not ringing. It's just going beep, beep, beep."
I started laughing so hard and then explained to him that before there was call waiting and voicemail there was a signal that was on the phone to let others know that called you that you were on the phone...it's called a busy signal.
He didn't find it quite as amusing as I did. Classic.
